You. I know you don’t want me to
I know you don’t want me to. But what if I do?
You. I know you don’t want me to
I know you don’t want me to. But what if I do?
What if I lied? When I said I was unsure as you
What if I signed. When elation would usually ensure
All of my life. Is a daunting set of words to use
I’m confused. What’s to lose?
You. I know you don’t want me to
I know you don’t want me to. But what if I do?
You. I know you don’t want me to
I know you don’t want me to. But what if I do?
Now it’s sunk in. And we sinking deeper than we were
I’m picturing all the good times, a non-descript blur
It’s for the best. But that doesn’t mean it doesn’t hurt
Bridges burn, what’s to learn?
You. I know you don’t want me to
I know you don’t want me to. But what if I do?
You. I know you don’t want me to
I know you don’t me to. But what if I do?
And even I’m bored of hearing what I wanna hear
There’s a blockage in our throat that’s begging to clear
I am offering all that I had yesterday
I no longer have that, I hope it’s still okay
I will come, and then bail and then try, but still fail
And we’ll take turns to both be routinely unwell
Or we could see the light, though it pains you to face
The idea that all things must end is okay
But it’s not really what either you or I want
And so you. I know you don’t want me to.
I know you don’t want me to.
But what if I do?
saw this live when they were performing with Jeff Rosenstock. The Goosebumps from seeing the pure emotion in the finale was so raw and passionate. it made me appreciate being able to attend live music again! vvilko

Lovely album, Fresh have really honed their sound without losing the joy of the early stuff. The album runs to about half an hour, which I also like (cf. It's a shame about Ray). Sam Baguley
